Oppo’s Reno series has helped it establish a reputation for itself by emphasizing design and cameras. Should you buy the Oppo Reno 11 Pro?

While the Poco X6 Pro comes with the better Dimensity 8300 Ultra, which performs on par with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, the much more expensive Reno 11 Pro essentially dampens the blow. One could think about the OnePlus 11R, which has the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 mobile, in a comparable pricing range.
Design
I received the Pearl White model with 12GB and 256GB of storage for review. As soon as I opened the device, I was immediately drawn to its chic tapering shape and svelte curved glass back. The device felt elegant and provided a pleasant, light grip because of its 7.6mm thickness. I have to admit that I’m not a big fan of smartphones with big screens. The smallest that I can use without discomfort is 6.1 inches, which seems modest and convenient. But the 6.7-inch dynamic AMOLED display was really beautiful.

Since cellphones can now be used as portable theaters, I favor bright screens that highlight the drama by bringing out the deep blacks. The 6.7-inch AMOLED, in my opinion, is a stunning centerpiece that offers a bezel-less appearance in addition to a large viewing area. The smooth transition between 60Hz and 120Hz screen refresh rates enables seamless app switching and scrolling.
The display boasts a peak brightness of 950 nits and supports over 1 billion colors. Those who work outside most of the time will find this beneficial. With HDR10+ support, OTT streaming becomes more vibrant, and the colors shine through. Immersion is guaranteed with the Reno 11 Pro display, whether you’re gaming, watching movies, or just going about your everyday business. Reading about the display that provided a stress-free experience even at night really caught my attention.
Camera
Without a doubt, this OPPO device’s greatest USP is its camera module. Pro-grade cameras, in my opinion, are quite adaptable and can capture photos that are on par with those taken with DSLRs. I consider myself a novice photographer, and I mostly use the features on smartphones to show off my artistic abilities. Even in low light, the 50MP Sony IMX 890 camera captures portraits and landscapes with grace.
However, the dedicated 32MP Sony IMX 709 telephoto lens gives portrait shots a more polished appearance. With tools like the Portrait Expert Engine, one can further improve their portraits and produce some artistic photographs. The 32 MP Sony IMX709 4K selfie camera is another useful tool for vlogging that saves you the trouble of bringing along extra gear. Even though the shooting is obviously amateurish, the 4K films at 30 frames per second look sharp.
Performance
Is the Oppo Reno as excellent of a performer as it looks, given its eye-catching design and impressive display? The MediaTek Dimensity 8200 chipset and 12GB of RAM run the gadget. I saw that the device ran through demanding loads without stuttering during my two weeks of use. The phone has good multitasking capabilities. Oppo’s improvements and the substantial 4600mAh battery life of the gadget make it a joy for gamers to use during extended gaming sessions.
On the software front, we get Android 14 topped with Oppo’s most recent ColorOS 14 UI. Several useful utilities have been added, such as File Dock, Smart Touch, and Smart Image Matting. It is, in my opinion, among the greatest customizations available for Android smartphones in this price range. The Reno 11 Pro comes with an 80W SUPERVOOC charger that can charge the device to full capacity in just 28 minutes. The item indeed charges in less than 30 minutes, as stated, and I have had numerous charging sessions.
