CM Manohar Lal Khattar may resign, Big political stir in Haryana, legislature party meeting called

Ahead of the Lok Sabha elections, there have been rifts in the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and Jannayak Janata Party (JJP) ruling alliance in Haryana, with chief minister Manohar Lal Khattar calling for the resignation of every minister, according to reports.

After they were unable to come to a seat-sharing arrangement in the state for the Lok Sabha elections, the relationship between the BJP and the JJP, led by deputy chief minister Dushyant Chautala, deteriorated. In the 2019 elections, the BJP had taken all ten seats in the state’s Lok Sabha.

According to news agency ANI, independent MLA Nayan Pal Rawat stated on Tuesday that the alliance is at a breaking point, but that some independent MLAs who back the ML Khattar government will make sure it survives.

Meetings of the MLAs of the BJP and JJP (Jannayak Janata Party) have been called separately by their respective high leaderships. Manohar Lal Khattar would host a meeting of all BJP ministers at his house prior to that.

According to sources who spoke to news agency PTI, Central BJP leaders, such as Union minister Arjun Munda and former chief minister of Tripura Biplab Kumar Deb, are in the state to supervise the modifications.

They went on, “The BJP legislature party might meet on Tuesday.”

Senior party leaders have been silent, thus the substance of the change remains unclear.

“Breaking the alliance (with the JJP) is not being discussed at this time. Today there will be a gathering…The meeting will be attended by observers, and all of the MLAs will give their opinions,” BJP MLA Sudhir Singla of Gurugram told ANI.

He answered, “Yes, it may happen,” when asked if cabinet vacancies will be awarded to independent MLAs.
