According to Allu Arjun, there are intentions to franchise Pushpa: “Part three is definitely on the horizon.”

In the 2024 release of Pushpa 2: The Rule, Allu Arjun will reprise his role as Pushpa. Allu Arjun has revealed that a series centered around his character is in the works, with one more movie planned, amidst the frenzy surrounding the impending sequel. During the present Berlin International Film Festival, Allu Arjun stated to Variety that “we do want to make it a franchise” in reference to Pushpa.

In an effort to find possible worldwide audiences, the film is being played at the European Film Market while Allu Arjun is present at the Berlin Film Festival. “You can definitely expect part three,” the actor remarked in reference to it. “We do want to make it a franchise, and we have exciting ideas for the lineup.” I’m just interested in seeing how this movie is received overseas and trying to learn about their perceptions of Indian cinema. I also want to know about film festivals, the kind of movies that are screened there, and the attitudes of the attendees.

“Global audiences are similar to urban Indians.”

He went on to discuss the comments he had received regarding the movie from both Indian and international viewers. “I didn’t see many differences between the film-watching habits of urban Indians and those of folks elsewhere. In my opinion, urban Indians bear similarities to audiences worldwide. Therefore, urban audiences in India and abroad have given me similar feedback regarding whatever they loved about the film’s candor or the performances,” he remarked.

With the release of Pushpa 1: The Rise in 2021, Allu Arjun emerged as the country’s new national celebrity. In the movie, he played Pushpa, a red-sanders smuggler who starts off as a daily wage worker but eventually rises to the position of empire-builder. In fact, he took home the Best Actor National Film Award.
